For the 12th consecutive year, Montreal has enjoyed Apéritif à la française last Wednesday June the 3rd. An after work event that brought together nearly 410 trend-setters and opinion leaders from Montreal area. People were delighted by the diversity of French food offered during the event.

There was a barbecue, an oyster bar, salted tarts and salads, French delicatessen (Delpeyrat), a large variety of cheeses (Rocamadour, Camembert, Comté..), many deserts such as St Michel cookies, Danette, candies and some typical French pastries (cannelé, sweet tart, croquembouche)from Maison Christian Faure.
As of the drinks, several wines and cocktails were featured, including the Cognac Rémy Martin, official partner of the event. Rémy Martin offered a “welcoming glass” for all guests (A Ginger Basil Lemonade VSOP). Wines tasted during the event came from Domaine Paul Mas, Maison Chapoutier, Pive Gris (JeanJean vineyard) and the Crémant de Bourgogne rosé Louis Bouillot.
The presence of some emblematic French aperitif and digestive such as Pineau des Charentes, Cointreau, Chambord, Ricard and Lillet could be noted as well. An alcohol-free bar was opened with homemade lemonade Elixia and Teissiere syrups.
In total, nearly two dozen French brands were highlighted during the launch party.
Besides Rémy Martin space that offered a barber entertainment, the guests were able to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with French music, an artisanal ice cream truck and a pétanque Animation.

Since 11 years, “Apéritif à la française” revitalize with success the "Made in France" products towards consumers. It keeps renewing its concept as the will to promote a contemporary, modern and accessible image for French brands. For 2015, Apéritif à la française was divided in 3 parts: an exclusive launch event in Montreal, a promotional aspect with tastings and displays SAQ stores (Société des Alcools du Québec) and the partnership with the Festival d’été de Québec (a large music festival held each year in July in Quebec City). For the first time this year, the French Aperitif is a partner of the festival that gathers one million festivalgoers of 11 nights (from 09 July to 19 July 2015). It is located on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City.
